Jessica Wilson

Jessica N. Wilson, Ed.S. has a passion for educating and equipping people with life tools to enhance their quality of life through Solution Focused, Reality, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities. More specifically, she enjoys working with children and helping them to express themselves through their natural language of play as they navigate from childhood into adulthood. Jessica strives to give a voice to and be an advocate for children. In her advocacy, she desires to help adults remember that children are people that deserve love, respect, and to be heard.

Jessica grew up in Warner Robins, GA and graduated from Houston County High School. It was in 11th grade, that she found her passion and purpose in life in her high school psychology class. She then attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Following, she earned her master’s degree in Education School Counseling at Fort Valley State University. Finally, she attended University of West Georgia and earned her Specialist of Education degree in Professional Counseling and Supervision. Jessica has worked with children professionally since 2003 and currently works at a nearby high school that serves students from 9th to 12th grades. Additionally, she has worked with adult learners in education for 13 years.

Jessica firmly believes that childhood experiences mold thought processes and are carried into adulthood. With this belief, she endeavors to educate and equip children to help them process and express their emotions with any circumstances that arise throughout their lives. Also, in working with adults, she believes in helping to identify key experiences from childhood that influenced any negative patterns of behaviors and working to improve them through newly acquired education and life tools.

Two of Jessica’s favorite quotes for life are:

“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” ~Disputed Source

"Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start."  ~Nido Qubein
